Guatemala Fishing Report

Pacific Fins Resort - Capt. Ron Hamlin

The fishing at Pacific Fins Resort in Guatemala has been RED HOT for sailfish and marlin with no sign of letting up.

On February 6th Capt. Eddie Bairez, on the Circle Hook, started a three day trip with the Bob Lewis family. Bob has fished many times in Costa Rica, but this was his first trip to Guatemala. On the first day they raised 55 sailfish, had 46 bites and caught and released 33! Needless to say they had a great first trip to Guatemala.

On February 17th the Duke Gallagher group arrived and fished 4 days on the Hooked Up, Captain Hook and Circle Hook and they managed to catch and release 126 sailfish.

On February 24 the Donald Davis group fishing with Capt. Tito on the Fishy Business, released 2 blue marlin and 43 sailfish. In the past 3 days the Fishy Business has raised over 200 fish!

Capt. Haron Valdez, of the Hooked Up, raised 141 sailfish during a 3 day charter that started on February 24th. The group ultimately had 113 bites and released 66 sailfish.

This past week we have been fishing 12 to 24 miles out and the weather has been great as usual, with afternoon highs in the 80's! The fishing action is really hot right now so don't miss out. We still have a few dates available for the next couple of months so call Rick Hazelwood at (888) 700-3467 today to book your trip.
