2008 Fishing-Gear Premiere - Reels

2008 Fishing-Gear Premiere - Reels

Shakespeare Arsenal HD
Shakespeare designed this graphite-and-stainless reel with nearshore/offshore trollers in mind - anglers who like to run-'n'-gun for dolphin or pull baits for species like sailfish, wahoo or kingfish.

Arsenals feature three stainless-steel bearings, a 4.2:1 gear ratio and a main-gear-applied multi-disk star drag. They come in three size classes - 15-, 20- and 30-pound. The smallest reel weighs 20.9 ounces and holds 300 yards of 14-pound-test; the middle reel weighs 22.7 ounces and holds 330 yards of 20, and the 30-pound-class reel weighs 27.3 ounces and holds 330 of 30.

Anglers will also appreciate the stainless- steel levelwind and aluminum handle with power knob. Retail costs are $49.99 (AR15AL), $51.99 (AR20AL) and $54.99 (AR30AL).
